The SASDC supports a holistic approach to supplier diversity development. The official SASDC Supplier Diversity Levels Assessment tool enables Council members to participate in an annual assessment of their level of supplier diversity. This best practice assessment reviews the alignment of supplier diversity strategy with overall corporate strategy; the extent to which corporate resources for supplier diversity development are aligned to deliver against the business case; and whether the corporation has the required processes and practices in place to execute against the supplier diversity business case.

The Supplier Diversity Levels Assessment assists members to:

Establish their position and set goals in relation to global best practice.
Highlight areas requiring attention and improvement.
Support and accelerate change in corporate culture.
Evaluate supplier diversity performance, against which members can track progress and improve results.
